I created this weekly meal planner with the help of an adorable digital scrapbook kit from hereascrapthereascap.blogspot.com. I printed the cover and back cover onto cardstock and printed 52 copies of the inside page. I then spiral bound it into a book and ta-da! I ended up with the perfect meal planner for my family! The inside pages can be removed and posted on the fridge, or you can just keep them in the book - whatever works for you.
The inside page is broken down by week day and has a section for your grocery list that can be cut out and brought to the store. I also could imagine bringing this whole book to the store... you could bind an envelope into it to hold your coupons and voila good to go... but since my husband does most of the shopping in this house, I don't foresee that happening anytime soon. I have started writing the dates of the week (ie Aug 30 - Sept 5) next to where it says Day/Meal Plan.
And now for the fun! I am providing the pages in pdf format for your downloading pleasure.

UPDATE: I've made this available to download via Google Docs since some people were having issues with 4shared.
I have also created an owl version, which is a smaller, faster download, but is just as cute!

I just came over to your blog from Sisters Stuff and love love love this menu planner!! I've been using a plain old 1 subject spiral notebook for menu planning, and it just isn't cutting it. This is perfect. And I even have a binding machine in my craft stash. Thanks!

I'm also a planner...and your book is *way* cuter than my scrap paper! I feel the urge to start a new project coming on...
ReplyDeleteOh, ps- found your link on TJ.
I LOVE your idea of binding it. That way I can go back and get ideas from weeks before when I are stumped about what to make for dinner. I have been using a cute weekly planner but it is just on loose paper and I throw it away at the end of the week. I am going to make one this week for sure! Thank you for the free download!
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS! I am posting this on my blog and linking back to you. Thanks for this great freebie! I love your blog, btw!
