We just recently baptized our youngest, Olivia Taylor. It was a beautiful ceremony (Thank you to her Godparents, Brian and Rebecca!) and we had a nice little get together at the house afterwards. I baked a cake and thought I would share:
I used a basic 9" round cake pan for the bottom cake. I also used a 9" round pan for the cross. I found a picture of a cross shape that I really liked (just googled it), copy and pasted it into word and then resized it to fit within the 9" diameter requirement. I printed it out, cut out the cross and used it as a template to cut the cake.
My latest cake was a pink dinosaur for a baby shower:
This is just a girl version of the cake I did for my sons birthday (tut for the cake can be found in this post). The frosting was vanilla, colored pink and the cake was strawberry. YUM!
I have really fallen in love with making cakes... I would love to take a cake decorating class. I am keeping my eyes open for one in my area.
What cakes have you made? Share the good or the bad!! LOL.
Happy baking!

I made this cake for my little guys 3rd birthday. He loved it...ours was green instead of pink. It was super simple!
