Sometimes I daydream on my hour ride home from work. I think of all the crafty stuff out there and what I can contribute... on my way home I was trying to think of things that I could make that could be of use to myself or my kids and I remembered a canvas beach tote I received at a conference. It had a huge logo embroidered onto the front of it and it really wasn't something I would normally use, but it was constructed so well that I brought it home. As I was thinking of the bag my mind started wandering and then this little idea popped in and I just had to do it!
I deconstructed the bag, used two of its panels for the hearts and the back adjustable handle for the strap on my "Special Delivery" bag/chair pouch (Nope - not just another chair pouch! This one doubles as a bag!). Because of the adjustable strap this can be worn as a messenger bag or secured to the back of a chair to collect all of those special little Valentine's.
I used felt for the X and the O and used a red Sharpie to write on the bag. The feather came off from my daughters dead pen (I couldn't bear to throw the feather away so just pulled it off the cap and put it in my craft stash).
I love how darling this turned out and so did my daughter:
And of course my son had to have in on the action:
(can you tell he was excited? AND in pj's?)

Those turned out so cute! I love that they can wear them and put them on their chairs! What a crafty little idea!
