34 CANDY SHOPPE FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY

Sorry to keep you guys waiting, but I have the photos of my daughters first birthday party and I am so excited to share!

It was a great time, rain and all and I am thrilled with the end result.

Let's start with the Birthday Girls Outfit:

 

I made the shirt with a freezer paper stencil.  Paired with a skirt and some baby legs, I think she looked ADORABLE!

I made the favor bags with this template from Belles Printables (the template is just for a blank bag.  I added the actual design of the bag in Illustrator) and added the nametags using my 2" scallop punch and some hot glue.  I made all of the girls Stamped Washer Necklaces with their names and attached them to their bag handles.

The soda and water labels were printed onto full page labels and cut out to fit.  I also made some for the cups with a line to write people's names on them (no need for waste!).

 The banner was made with my Cricut, some ribbon and twine.   The candy on the banner was made by following the tutorial over at Crafty Smurfette.  And I just wanted to throw in this cool picture of the invite (inspired by TomKat Studio's amazing design)! 

It was hard to get an image of the table with candy buffet, banner and chalkboard where I had drawn a big one with a flower and butterfly because there is a chandelier that hangs down, but I think you get the idea. The candy labels were also made with my scallop punch and were hot glued to the canisters.
 

I made Mashmallow Fondant (recipe by Craft Envy) to make the curlicues, lollipop and dots on my cake.  Although I wasn't a fan of the taste, the kids were BEGGING to eat it (including my 18 year old brother!).

I also made the wildly popular tissue paper balls that my cousin branded Cha Cha's.  I love how they look.  And of course, I turned my older daughters old bed skirt into a matching candy shoppe awning, but because it was against the french doors it didn't show up well in the pictures.  It was the same purples pinks and blues as the cha cha's so they matched perfectly!  Along with the great Cha Cha's I hung paper lanterns sporatically outside.

I also had some big lollipops at the end of the driveway to greet people.

Lastly I made some felt lollipops for the window boxes on our shed. I cut circles out of felt, sewed them together, added some additional circles for embelishment, stuffed them and stuck in some lollipop sticks. I think it added a whimsical feel... but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures... and I didn't realize it until I had already given them away. :( They were REALLY cute too!. 

This is the other birthday shirt I made.  She wore this the day after her party (her actual birthday).
