2 Kitchen Greenery

I was looking for some fake plants in a basket to put over my kitchen cabinets - something like this:  

But guess what?  These things are EXPENSIVE!  Even at HomeGoods they are pricey... and I wanted something that looked nice AND real, not some cheap-o version!

So I got my bootie to work and made my own!  I found two rectangular baskets at Joann's for 50% off and also found several fake plants that I really liked and used my 40% off coupons.  I bought two blocks of styrofoam, a little smaller than my baskets, but enough to hold the plant steady, and arranged the plants. 

Once I put them above my cupboard I finished arranging the plants so that they fell nicely over the edge without interfering with my cupboard doors.  These cost me $20 total!  SCORE.

I tried to get a full picture with both plants but the lighting was wrong...

I love the way this adds some color above my cupboards but it isn't too crowded.
