Whew! This was a super busy weekend! Birthday Parties, Bachelor Party, College Graduations and Dance Recitals! AND today is mine and my husbands 7 year Wedding Anniversary (stop back later for a surprise)!
Needless to say I didn't have much time for crafting, so I am going to share with you a bulletin board that I embellished for my daughters room a while back.
It was super easy. I just hotglued the 1" wide ribbon to the edge of the cork and then took three matching flowers and glued them into the corner. Easy, adorable and matches her room perfectly!
Another quick project that I whipped out a few months ago (but never posted!) was this Initial Hair Accessory Holder. I wanted her to have a place to store her barrettes, headbands and hair ties. First I mod podged some scrapbook paper to the C. With the ribbon I sewed two loops to hold headbands and added some velcro so that the third large loop could be opened to store rubberband hair ties. Next I attached the ribbon to the back of the C with hotglue and I was done! My last craft to share is this cape that I made for my sons friends birthday:
It was a big hit. Especially the other side, which is the Batman logo which GLOWS IN THE DARK! I chose to do the logos using freezer paper stencils instead of applique this time around, hence the glow in the dark aspect.
Also, Life in the Pitts is hosting a giveaway for my blog design services this week, so if you are in need of a new header, button and menu, head over and enter to win today!
