Ditch the Workout, Join the Party!

August 20, 2010

Hey all you Zumba ladies out there!!!  You are gonna love this project.

If you don't know what Zumba is, click here.

I am a Zumba fan.  I've been Zumba-ing it up for the last 5 months and have loved every minute of it.  We have a couple of amazing instructors at my gym.  They keep things new and fun.  As I've been loosing weight I needed a few more workout clothes.  I just purchased new shoes - Nike Musique, in case you were wondering - PERFECT for Zumba.  And now I have the perfect Zumba shirt:

Nice, right?  And guess what?  I made it! Yup, with a blank tank top, freezer paper stencil and some fabric paint!  I love how it turned out and I can't wait to go shake my booty!

Here is the image I used to create the stencil.

So now for all you Zumba-er's out there, don't spend lots of money on "official" Zumba garb, just make your own!  And if you do make one, please link it up with my Reader Gallery!

Happy Fitness!

FYI: I am not offering these shirts for sale.  I made this shirt for my own personal use.

  6. That is so much fun! I just started zumba-ing this month. I was amazed how sore my abs were for DAYS following. Will keep you as an inspiration to keep getting up early and doing my living room zumba to get back into shape. And, when I need new clothes for my workout, I'll know where to look for ideas!

  7. I'm a zumba freak. I definitely wanted to make a shirt like yours but it seems as though the stencil link is broken. Anyway to get that back? Love your blog btw. I found it through Pinterest a few days ago.
