The Kinley Lane giveaway winner is commentor #36 - Janene! I usually give you a little picture of the random.org number generator, but I'm on my hubby's netbook and don't have my usual tools, so you just have to trust me on this one! Congrats Janene, who is a lovely follower of seven thirty three!
And don't forget to head over to Serenity Now for a giveaway from ME! ************
I can't believe it has taken me so long to make a key fob! It has been on my to-do list FOR-ever! So simple and quick! And let me tell you, it has changed my life! FOR REAL. It really has made running errands and such so much easier. Funny how little, ordinary things can really made a difference.
I'm the type of girl you see loaded down with bags and babies and her keys between her teeth. I drop them, or leave them places. But not anymore, thanks to the great tutorial over at The Idea Room. I received a gift card to Joann's from my good friends Jeremy and Krista (thanks guys!) so I went out and picked up some items I'd been wanting to buy (like a new blade for my rotary cutter), and while I was there I got some cute fabrics, more interfacing, thread, batting, you know - the essentials. I decided it was time to make a key fob and here is my end result:
I'm loving it! I ran some errands and just slipped it on my wrist. It was comfy and it stayed put.
The moral of the story? Don't put this project off any longer! Especially if you are a mom or more than one child. You will see that this thing ROCKS YOUR WORLD. The next order of business is todays FREEBIE!
I made these cute little notecards for my daughters teacher (school starts Wednesday!) and thought I should share. There are 4 per sheet. The name area has been left blank so you can fill it in with a sharpie (or if you would like these personalized, email me and we'll discuss price). I printed them on cardstock, cut them apart and tied with a cute little ribbon. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD. Now that you are done with that, don't forget to head over and thank Amy for her super easy key chain tutorial!
Thanks so much for the freebie! I have so many teachers in my life that these will make great gifts!

ReplyDeleteYour key chain turned out really cute! I have tons of those "I really need to do this" projects that seem to take forever to get going on and then you wonder why it ever took so long in the first place when you realize how awesome it is!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and functional too! I bought some key fob blanks and I need to get around to making myself one too!

I've been meaning to make a key fob as well. Your post has inched that project to the top of the list - at least while I am reading your blog. :) Thanks for sharing this post and others. I am visiting from http://bedifferentactnormal.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI need to make a version of that cute key fob that actually has a clip that will attach to my purse. I use a carabiner right now (couldn't live without it!) but it isn't pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove your key fob! I am going to have to make one for me and each of the kids. Thanks for sharing! I love this show and tell!
