Did you know you can edit your blog while you are actually AT your blog? To be able to do so go to your Dashboard and click Settings. Under the Basic tab, make sure Show Quick Editing on your Blog? has Yes selected. Scroll to the bottom and select Save Settings.
See those little tools - anywhere you have placed a gadget in your design screen you will see one of those tools when you are logged into your Blogger account and visit your blog.
Click it - it brings up an edit window for the content in that gadget. Now you don't ALWAYS have to go to your design screen to make simple changes.
Happy Blogging!

"i really miss this feature!! you know one day it was on there and the next day it was gone!!
I have googled and tried everything and still cant get it back! its SO frustrating!!
do you know anything else that might work?
would really really really appreciate it!!!!"
Yes, actually, I do! If you have Internet Explorer with compatibility mode, you want to turn it off. Go to page - Compatibility Mode Settings - uncheck Display all settings in compatibility mode.

I've been using the 'tool' icon to edit various additional parts of the blog page but not the text itself. It works a treat and saves a lot of time.
