My daughter was so excited when I ripped open the Fabulous Flowers by Klutz book! Holy moly she couldn't wait to start creating some fabulous flowers. I was a little overwhelmed when I started looking at it... but when I realized it really is a step-by-step guide and had all of the necessary items to create these beautiful pieces I started to relax.
Before my daughter had a chance to attempt the flowers my cousin Melissa came over and loved the concept. I told her to go to town and she (not a crafty person overall) had a blast making this flower:
Gorgeous, right? It took about 20 minutes to do. The steps were pretty easy to follow, although we did notice that one of the pieces that was required for this daisy was not under the daisy section of pieces, it was actually under the hibisicus section which threw Melissa off for a moment. I think the flower turned out gorgeous and can't wait to make some with my daughter! They are great as photo props (yes Melissa and I had an impromptu photo shoot, but I promised her I wouldn't post them, and I'm being true to my word), in a vase, or even decorating a gift!
A little more about the product:Let your creativity bloom with this book of can’t-go-wrong instructions for life-sized, dimensional, paper blossoms inspired by our favorite flowers: roses, daisies, daffodils, hibiscus, zinnias, cosmos, poppies, and larkspur. Sparkly embellishments, fresh paper colors, whimsical design variations, and a custom shaping tool give these blossoms a twist that’s pure Klutz — and quite possibly, even prettier than the real thing. As always, Klutz has packaged the book with everything you need to get started: 20 pages of ready-to-punch-out paper petals, sparkly flower centers, wrapped wire stems, glue, and of course, the custom winding tool — enough stuff to make bunches of flowers.
