UPDATE: I'm not usually wishy-washy, but I've grown this blog and it is a piece of me and after posting this it didn't feel right, so check out the future of seven thirty three here.
It is with great sadness that I write up this post... I have decided to stop blogging at this time. I took three weeks off from my design side job (seven thirty three - - - custom blog design) and only have had the blog to focus on this last week and I had so much more me time. I then decided I would take the next two weeks off from blogging as well and really focus on family time... but I think I have made the decision to continue on with just designing for all you other great bloggers. I have really enjoyed blogging and sharing my crafts and creations with all of you, but I have come to feel it is more of a chore than enjoyment recently, which tells me it is time to stop. There were some other factors that have contributed to my decision, but right now, I just want to focus on myself and my three young children!
The plan is to have this last, but we'll see if in a month I am ready to come back. I plan on keeping seven thirty three online and available for reference and will still be checking comments and emails, etc. And course I will post the rest of my draft posts.
I wish you all the best and thank those of you have followed along and taken the time to comment and email me. It really made me feel appreciated!
:( I totally understand, but will miss reading your posts. I will keep you right there on my side bar just in case you decided to come back. I have thought about the same thing lately, and decided to post when I wanted to, not because I have too...it just takes the fun out of it completely! Enjoy your children and Merry Christmas!
aww I hate to see you stop blogging but it looks like your doing it for a awesome reason! Can't wait to see you come back (if you choose)! Enjoy your family :) That is the best feeling ever! Happy Holidays to you and you will be missed.
I totally understand. I have unoficially taken time off as well. Sometimes you just have to step back and put your priorities in order and it sounds like you have :) Your family should aleays be at the top of that list ;)
you were and still are a great asset to the blogging community, but cherish this time with your kids because you will never get It back, in the mean time, we'll still be here.
We'll miss you, Kim, but we all totally understand. I've been struggling with the same thoughts lately, so I know exactly where you're coming from. Non-bloggers don't realize the amount of time and energy it takes to keep a blog running, and I think the decision to focus on your family is completely admirable. I wish you the very best (and I still hope to see you around occasionally on FB and Pinterest!) :)
I totally understand where you're coming from, but I have to say I will miss your posts! You're so creative and I love things things you come up with! Don't disappear completely... stop by and say hi from time to time :) Merry Christmas!

:( You are one of my fav blogs, but it is awesome that you realize that it is a huge undertaking and can mess with family life. :) Have fun with your kiddo's! (And we will keep an eye out for your return, if not in a month or so, maybe when the kids are older.)
I'm sorry to see you go, but I understand. Nothing can replace the time you have with your children so go and enjoy them! I have enjoyed your blog for the past year and a half, since I found it. Good luck with everything!
I'm sorry to read this Kim. I don't comment often but do read your blog regularly. But, I can totally understand why you are doing it, even if there are other factors, the biggest and most important one are your children. They are only little once and in the blink of an eye they are off to college and you look back wondering where the time went. BUT, when you do look back you also want to know that you have done everything in your power to make them be able to look back also into their own childhood and remember Mommy was always there when they needed her.
I saw someone's business card not long ago and said to my husband that there are SO many places now that a person has to be visible between the blog, websites, facebook. flickr, pinterest and on and on and I said to him It's no wonder everyone in the online world is feeling so stressed and rushed now. It seems that in order to get your name out there and be successful you need to work a million hours a day updating a million places so everyone can find you and then added it's also no wonder women are getting so burnt out and can't sleep from the stress they are putting on themselves to also be a good wife and Mom. I am SO glad that wasn't the way it was when my children were younger. It's way too much stress for me to just think about all those places you young Moms are expected to be 'seen' online.
Good luck. I think while we will all miss you, that you are doing the right thing for you and your children. GOOD LUCK! ENJOY your children now before it's too late. Hugs.
You will be missed but you are making the right decision. Thank you for leaving your blog up as a reference. And just because you don't post daily/weekly doesn't mean you have to hang it up COMPLETELY. I have 3 kids, homeschool, work a little from home and still try to blog. Granted it's not that often and I don't have a huge following, mostly friends, but when I have something to say, that's when I blog. I go through spurts. So if you feel like jumping back in from time to time, we'll be happy to hear from ya! In the meantime, blessings to you! And merry Christmas!
I'm sad to see you go, but I understand how you must be torn between time spent with your children or the blogging world. Of course your kids come first.
I'm so sorry to see you go! I completely understand - it's that terribly hard choice between "good" and "best". And of course your kids are your priority!! Thanks so much for everything you have done here - and for all your support when I was getting started!
You will definitely be missed, but I do understand your need to take a break. It's great to focus on the biggest priority right now -- your family! I wish you all the best!
Oh man!!! Where will I go for boy ideas!!!!! I'm glad you are taking a break. You work so hard and do so much. Your kids and family deserve your attention. I'm excited for when you come back.
