We went to carve our pumpkin on Wednesday night and when we picked up our 2 week old pumpkin off the porch we were greeted with this:

 Before I moved into this new house I had a fridge full of magnets - but they weren't cute and they weren't matching... they were ABC magnets, doctors and other service magnets, etc.  When we went to sell the condo I had to clean the fridge appearance up not to scare away my buyers... and I loved the look, but at the same time, I did miss having the ability to hang necessary papers.  Since moving into this home, I have relegated one side of the fridge to such stuff.  But I still have random magnets - some artwork my kids made that I turned into magnets, my magnet business card and so forth.

9 You're a ROCK STAR, Baby!

My baby turned 11 this past weekend.  I can't believe how fast she has grown!  I remember when she came to live with us... she was a three year old beauty with the sweetest little voice and the biggest brown eyes!  Fast forward 8 years and she is still my little Sweet Pea.  We celebrated her birthday with 5 of her good friends and a Rock Star Glam Party.  And what an AWESOME time we had!

We booed for the first time last year and the kids had a blast.  I went to visit my friend in NC last week and she had been booed and it totally reminded me that we had to do it again this year!   I went back to The TomKat Studios and printed out the same sign we used last year.   I also found these cute chocolate bar wrappers at Living Locurto and printed those off to use to dress up the Hershey Chocolate bars I purchased.  I also put together a matching wrap for a Mason jar that I filled with Oreos (unfortunately not the Halloween ones because the store was out).  I have made the jar label available for you to download here.

We went out at around 7:30 Monday night.  Mason and Cassidy sat in the front seat and Livie sat in the back and I drove them to our next door neighbor.  They jumped out of the car and did the stealth run (hiding behind trees and bushes), dropped the package, knocked and ran back, diving headfirst into the car.  We drove a few houses down and did it all over again.  They had such a blast.  They were all out of breath and so excited.  Even Olivia sitting in back was getting into it.  Such a fun annual tradition, where we highlight giving and making others feel special!   UPDATE: I very un-stealth-like posted about our booing adventure on Facebook... forgetting that I was friends with one of the neighbors we booed.  Oops!  Needless to say, she sent the love back our way. The kids were SO excited that A) we got booed and B) they got to do it all over again!   Happy Booing!

1 More Black Apple Dolls...

Making Lil' CC was so easy I decided to make a few more.  They make perfect gifts and since my daughters are always invited to birthday parties, I thought keeping one on hand would be good!  

The one in black was actually made for my cousin Melissa who loved Lil' CC.  Figured even us grown women could use a cute doll to hug every now and then!

 Last year while walking through my parents garage I looked up and spotted my old doll house.  My dad had originally built it for his mom and when she passed away it was given back to him.  I remember playing with it as a child and I loved it.  I tried to find a picture of me and it but I didn't have any luck... I'll keep looking.

1 Ruffles Galore!

Ruffles, Ruffles, Ruffles!  Alright ladies, you know I'm a fan of ruffles... you've seen my Ruffle Lamps and the Ruffled Shower Curtain and Valance I put in my Mater Bath. They are the latest trend and I really just can't get enough.

8 Felt Car Play Mat

My son and I were hanging out browsing Etsy for gifts for friends and family for Christmas when we came across a car play mat.  He was pretty excited about it and asked if I could make him one, and since the price tag on the Etsy one was pretty steep, I said, "sure!". I rememered that A Girl and a Glue Gun made all sorts of mats out of felt and hot glue... no sewing was a clincher for me!  I stopped by Kim's car mat post and then hit up Joann's. I purchased one yard of green, a half yard of black and a half yard of orangish-yellow.  I also purchased several colors of the sheets of felt.... the total was under $10 since the felt by the yard was 40% off. 

4 "Chatty Lunches" Love Notes Freebie

One thing I remember from my childhood is finding sweet little notes on my napkin in my paper bag lunch that my mother had left for me.  As soon as my daughter began school (daycare actually), I started doing the same thing for her.  Then I decided to take it up a notch and designed little cards that I cut out and stored in an envelope and could pull out whenever I decided to send a note in her lunch box.
