3 Show Down!

{crappy crackberry picture of my house as it stands now}
We are re-siding our house and the hubs and I can't agree on a color.  We've been going back and forth for days and even have been driving around looking at different houses.  We are limited in color choice because of our roof - it is an auburn shingle so cool colors are not an option.  I originally wanted a green tone, but the green options were very limited.

 Now I'm thinking going with a two tones of siding.  I'm thinking Stone Clay (which is a dark tan) and Wicker (medium tan).  But my husband won't jump on the band wagon!  He can't picture how it would look and feels like it would look weird in our neighborhood since no one else has it.  But thankfully I usually win these type of arguments so come Wednesday when my siding guy shows up to do measurements I'll be telling him to place the order!  (Go ahead, leave a comment on your thoughts on dual tone siding - I'd love to hear from you!).

Who knew picking vinyl siding would be such a headache!

At the same time as our siding being replaced, our 4 year old windows will also be replaced.  Turns out the company that installed them made some mistakes and we've been having leaking in several windows.  We had someone come and inspect them and pointed out several issues, so we went back to the company and after much discussion they are replacing them with new construction windows.  We are only paying $1500 and they are covering the rest of the tab (which is about $5,000).  So I'm super happy they are fixing their mistake, and using our guy to do it.  I'm looking forward to my 20 year old home looking brand new again!
Happy Creating! ~Kim
