I love Mod Podge. I remember the first time I used it. I was 8 and I had put together a humongous puzzle and my mom brought home this bottle of "glue" to help hold it together and give it a nice sheen. I thought it was the coolest thing ever... and my love hasn't faded.
Here are a few projects I've created using this versatile medium:
Here are a few projects I've created using this versatile medium:
1. Birdhouse Party Decoration
2. Memory Can
3. Custom Guitar Pick Neclaces
4. Custom Tile Coasters
5. Updated Dinner Tray
6. Dollhouse Wall Embellishments
7. Popsicle Stick Bracelets
OK, we all obviously know that Mod Podge Rocks! And the person that solidifies that in all of our minds is Amy Anderson of the popular blog, Mod Podge Rocks! Mod Podge Rocks! is a site chock full of Mod Podge project ideas. I mean, it is overflowing, so if you haven't been there yet, head on over (don't leave JUST yet! I have a little something special coming for you!)
I am lucky enough to have obtained a copy of Amy's new books, Mod Podge Rocks! Decoupage Your World. This book contains 40+ simple and inexpensive decoupage projects from the super cool Amy and several of her crafty gal pals (notables such as Jen from Tatertots and Jello and Heather from Dollar Store Crafts).
The book is so colorful and happy and the projects are pretty insane as well. My favorite? It's hard to pick, but I really liked the Bottle Cap Necklace... I've seen them before but had never heard of Dimensional Magic Mod Podge, so this is one I want to try. But I also really liked the bike helmet, clock, the outdoor chair, the suitcase... OK, I could keep going because they are all pretty fabulous!
I love that the book contains a section describing the properties of the different types of Mod Podge as well as the basic techniques of working with it. This book isn't only for those that have worked with this product in the past, it is totally beginner friendly.
OK, now that we have established how cool it is, how about we do a giveway?
