A Sweet Thank You

2 comments:
I had a friend help me out in a pinch the other day and I was really appreciative, and although I expressed that appreciation verbally, I also wanted to just go a little extra.

What did I do?
I created a sweet little candy bar wrapper,
wrapped up a Hershey Chocolate bar and left it for my friend to find.
I've made them available for download.
They fit a standard Hershey bar.
Have a terrific day!
Happy Creating! ~Kim

DIY Picture Canvas

No comments:
I already shared with you the bouquet and boutonniere that I made for my parents Vow Renewal.  Today I'm going to show you some THEN & NOW canvases I created for the event.  We displayed these on the table when people walked into the church and then also at my aunt's home for the "reception".  There were so many comments and admiration on these puppies, and I must admit, I took pride in saying, "I made those... this morning!"  HAHA.

Invite a Robot to Lunch!

4 comments:
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Wonder bread for SocialSpark.
All opinions are 100% mine.
Robot Sandwich
As a working mom with two kids in school and one in daycare I make a lot of lunches.  And we all know eating the same thing all the time can get a little boring... especially when my children's school does not allow peanuts, so a random peanut butter and jelly or fluff to mix things up is not allowed.  So what does a mom do?  Find a way to make lunch fun.  My kids usually have a sandwich of some sort, or crackers, cheese and a meat.  They then get a fruit, a veggie and a "dessert", typically some sort of fruit snack.

What does one use washi tape for?

How about a cute little bunting:

Twine and Wire Wrapped Bouquets

2 comments:
As I mentioned previously, my parents recently celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary and also renewed their vows in front of 50 family and friends.  My siblings and I surprised them with a professional photographer for the event.  I also made a bouquet and boutonniere for them... BEFORE I took my mom shopping for her dress.  Oops.  Probably should have waited since she ended up with a white, sparkly number with silver strappy shoes!

Yeah, this very fall and rustic bouquet wasn't the best match:

How-To: Create a Tabbed Widget

2 comments:
Thanks to Heather at Twin Dragonfly Designs for sending me a list of questions for items she wanted to do to her blog.  I was able to answer all but one: how to add a tabbed widget in her sidebar like you see on Wordpress blogs.  I did a little research and found the PERFECT solution.  I've added it to my sidebar, what do you think?

DISNEY LOVE: Personalized Water Bottles

1 comment:
Hi Seven Thirty Three friends! I'm Allison and I blog over at House of Hepworths. I am so excited to be guesting on Kim's blog. Kim, thanks so much for having me!} Last year I went to Disney World with my husband's extended family. I wanted to make the trip special for my kiddos all while saving money in the park. Drinks are so expensive, even bottled water. To cut daily park costs I purchased some basic water bottles that could be clipped to a strap or ribbon to wear around their neck. Fun fact about Disney World: You are allowed to bring your own coolers filled with drinks and food into the park. No glass allowed though. Disney_water_bottles_silhouette_2

DISNEY LOVE: Minnie Mouse Clippie & Headband

No comments:

Hi there!
I'm Tricia from Take 10 With Tricia
I'm so thrilled to be here for Disney Love Week at seven thirty three.
Recently I was asked to help a friend with her daughter's first birthday. She had an adorable "first birthday" onesie that had Minnie Mouse ears on it with a big red bow. She asked me to make a matching red with white polka dot bow for her daughter's hair. Well, I did that...and took it a step further. Every Minnie lover needs a Minnie Mouse clippie.
Do you need one too? The steps are easy. I had to make another one, but in hot pink. So I photographed the steps below for anyone that wants to copy the process. I used 3/8" ribbon for all of it.

DISNEY LOVE: Tulle Princess Dress Tutorial

No comments:

Hello!  My name is Deb from Life on the Selvage Edge, where I love to share about my quilting and other projects.  I'm excited to be visiting 733, one of my favorite blogs!  It's always fun to see what Kim is up to!  Since I can't sneak away to Disney with her, the next best thing is doing something crafty related to Disney!

When I saw that she was looking for some Disney inspired items, I knew this would be right up my alley.  If someone were to ask me my obsessions passions, Disney is right at the top of the list, right up there with sewing and quilting!  Walt Disney World is our favorite place to visit as a family, and I love planning trips and learning about all the details of the parks.

DISNEY LOVE: A DisneyLand Smashbook!

No comments:
Hello seven thirty three readers I am Laura and I blog over at Pink Cake Plate!! I am so excited to be here and share with you one of my most "Pinned" tutorials!! I absolulty love Disney so when Kim sent out the call for contributors for her Disney Love Week I had to throw my hat in the ring!!! Squeeelll!!!! As you can see I am really excited to be here!!

I am sure most of you have heard about or have seen Smash Books? They are all the rage these days in the paper crafting world. While I was on vacation celebrating my 5 year wedding anniversary I went a little crazy and made my own DISNEYLAND Smash Book!! I started with my DISNEYLAND Passporter Guide and there is where the fun began! You can purchase your very own Passporter Guide HERE! It is a fantastic resource for planning your Disney vacation. When I ordered my copy they only had the spiral bound version so I removed the spine and punched holes in it so I could put it in my binder which I purchased for my WDW vacation in 2009.
You can make a smash book with just about any book you want. You can start with a brand new note-book and go crazy!! I liked having the Passporter because it had relevant information already in it and I just embellished it! So here is what I used.

DISNEY LOVE: Spiral Mickey Head T-Shirts

No comments:
Hello!  My name is a Katrina Harris and I am a travel agent specializing in Disney destinations.  So, when Kim put out the call for a week of Disney posts - I new I had to be in like Flynn :-)  Unfortunately - I am so not a crafty person.  I don't have cool ideas for a Disney themed birthday party.  Or a Minnie dress sewing tutorial.  Or even wasy to decorate your cupcakes like Mickey's head.  (I know- should be simple - some oreos to make the head.  But I am telling you - I am craft challenged)

But...what I do know is Disney.  Like the back of my hand.  I know great places to stay.  I know amazing places to eat.  I know why your little ones will love EPCOT even if you think they might not.  I know how and where to find your favorite characters.  I know how to get you the best deals.

So...why am I here today?
Well...I suppose I do know how to make one craft.  Just this one.  And it's a spiral Mickey head t-shirt.  The perfect way to make matching t-shirts so you'll look spectacular in your family photos.  (And I know how you can get photos of the whole family at Disney - you included - at a discount!)

DISNEY LOVE: Minnie Mouse Pendant

Hi, my name is Cyn and I'm thrilled to be here as a guest blogger here on 733. I blog about living a creative life over at Creative Cynchronicity, sharing ideas for crafting, cooking, family fun, and more. I'd love for you to come and visit me! Photobucket When I heard about Disney week, I was really excited to participate. You see, I started going to Disney World in Florida with my family when I was a young girl and I never lost the thrill no matter how many times I went back. Now my grand niece and grand nephew are very into Mickey and Minnie Mouse and it's lots of fun to see their faces light up when they get some new Disney item.

DISNEY LOVE: Stroller Sign

4 comments:
If you've ever been to Disneyland, you might remember the swarm of strollers parked outside of attractions by the hundreds. How in the world do you ever find your stroller after the ride is over, and more importantly, how do you make sure that someone with an identical stroller doesn't accidentally wander off with your stuff?
