I've been secretly helping plan a baby shower for a dear friend of mine and I've been having to sit on all the details because she reads this blog! Now that the cat is out of the bag I get to share all of the fun with you!
Krista's SIL, Amanda, decided on an Owl theme since that is the theme Krista chose for the nursery. We went with a chic purple, green and gray color scheme and I got to work designing the invites and other party decor. I have made many of the items available for free download and the links will be included below!
If you are a follower, this owl might look familiar. That is because I used it for the nursery artwork I did for Everleigh last year! I had already designed the invite so when Krista asked me to make some artwork, I used the artwork I created for that! Sneaky, sneaky!
We decided on only two games for this crowd, and went with DIY lottery tickets {stop by Friday for the tutorial}:
And of course, I made some cupcake toppers to supplement these adorable cupcakes and cake made by a friend of the mom-to-be (download cupcake toppers):
I've done this in the past and it always works well, so we wrapped up some boxes to use as cupcake stands to add some height to the table.
I made water bottle labels that we placed on the U-shaped table layout along with confetti and chocolate dipped oreos that Amanda, made (download water bottle labels):
And I made some tissue paper balls with the Owl Mascot pendants... unfortunatley I didn't get a great picture. You can sort of see them on either side of the gift table, which is about 3/4 full at this point.
I used the same Owl Pendents to create some table decor items:
This bucket held the favors for the party goers. Amanda added pink lollipops and pink, white and red M&M's to cellophane bags tied up with pink ribbon.
Amanda also brought a photo mat that she decorated to use as a guest book. She inserted some 3D ultrasound pics until Miss Everleigh arrives:
Grandma-to-be requested that we do a ribbon plate, so here is Krista being a good sport:
Don't hurt me Krista! {Doesn't she make a beautiful mom-to-be? It suits her!}
It was a great little party and Krista had NO IDEA, which makes it even better!
Now we just have to wait until March until the little peanut arrives.
Oh look... I found another picture of the tissue paper balls with owl pendents...
Love this lady!
