This week has been tough on me emotionally. I had some potential changes in my personal life that I thought were going to make my life even more positive, and was really looking forward to, but in the end didn't pan out. I was left feeling a little inadequate, and a lot bummed. Of course I started looking at other aspects of my life and analyzing the minutia, including this here blog. It is easy to feel inadequate. But then I realized that I am who I am. I try hard and give 100% in all that I do. I like me. I am happy with my life and although the changes I was hoping were to come, aren't, it doesn't make me less of a person.
And then I remembered a favorite quote of mine from high school.
It is a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt:
"No one can make you feel inferior with your consent."
I refuse to let a little bump in the road stop me from moving forward.
A tree in my path? I'll run right over it!
I know this post is vague and I've kept it that way for privacy reasons, but for anyone else out there that may be feeling a little like a minnow in a pond full of frogs, this one's for you:
