3 Blinged Out NO SEW Fabric Crown

Today I am going to introduce you to a new product by Coats and Clark called Phoomph. What is Phoomph you ask?  It is a new fabric bonding sheet that creates texture and dimension without any sewing or ironing.

4 Pizza + Beer: 34th Birthday Party

 

My husband turned 34 on Thursday so we had a get together Friday night with our families (we have 21 immediate family members between the two of us).

We provided pizza and beer and had a great time hanging out.

0 Weekly Meal Planner Printable

I've had a lot of requests for a simplified version of my weekly meal planner, so yesterday I created a black and white version. It is just the meal planning sheets, no cover or back cover, and will obviously save you on colored ink if you choose to print at home.  We just finished our last book so I printed and bound the new version so that I still have copies of my meal plans from previous weeks.

1 Ridiculously Easy Baby Doll Shoes {Perfect for Waldorf Dolls}

My daughter has a Waldorf Doll that she received a few years ago and LOVES. Her name is Emily.
While playing on Friday night, Olivia informed me that Emily's feet were cold and she needed big girl shoes JUST like Olivia's.  What's a mom to do but deliver? 5 HOW TO: Start a Blog

I've had a few people in my life recently ask me about starting a blog and how one goes about doing so. I figured it they were looking for that info, there are probably others that need a little advice, so here are my suggestions for the Blogger Wannabe!

First, pick your niche! Will you be blogging about your life, being a mom, crafts, home décor? Nail down the topics you are considering covering.  This doesn’t mean you’ll be required to only blog about these topics, but you want to be known as an “expert” and that is best if you know what you are talking about!

11 How to {easily} cover a drum shade & I need your vote!

 

Back in December Lamps.com invited me to participate in their Blogger challenge and I jumped at the chance. They sent each participant a plain white drum shade and challenged us to do with it what we wanted!

I stuck to the basics and updated an old, traditional style lamp that was housed in my living room.
The lamp was nothing special and I've been wanting to update it for a while.
So I took it from traditional to contemporary, and I think, WAY MORE appealing and eye-catching.

4 "Bee" Mine - Free Printable Valentine

 I've been brainstorming some Valentine ideas for my kids school and daycare an this was one I came up with.  I got the idea from the Butterfly Valentine that has been floating {get it? hardy har har} around the internet for a while now.  From that I thought, this sure would look cute as a bee, and that's where I took it.

1 Gift Card Jar

My little brother turns 15 today!  Since we still have the decorations up from my cousins get together and my mom isn't feeling great, I offered to have cake and ice cream at my house this afternoon for the family. We typically give Tyler money or gift cards for his birthday, he's 15 - these things are a commodity at that age!  This time I hid it in paper confetti stuffed into a Mason jar and decorated with washi tape:

One of my best friends (and cousin) Melissa turned 30 today so we had her over for dinner, cake and ice cream and a little board game fun.  Her, her boyfriend and his son joined us and our three kids - they all get along great and took off to play as soon as he arrived.   

3 Wrapping Up 2012...

I posted 352 times in 2012!  I liked that little fact...it makes me feel productive.   So what was I posting exactly?  Well let's recap a few:

I remodeled my basement and totally decked out my craft room. And I'm proud to say it is still just as clean, except for the scrap bin, that seems to be overflowing.
